Drew’s mom’s side of the family gets together every couple of months to celebrate birthdays, and usually combines them, since the family has grown so much. Last weekend was a party for Drew and Brock. The cake was really great, made by Marcia… a piano with white chocolate music notes (colored black).
Drew was really excited to receive 7 volumes of Martin Luther’s complete sermons.
I had mentioned a few days ago that I take all of the pictures, and I’m rarely in them, so Drew made sure he got a couple with me. Finally.
And here’s a really good one of Drew with Riley. I had to make it black and white to hide the demon eyes our camera likes to add. We have a red eye reduction setting, but it’s terrible for candid shots, and I’m kind of a fan of those.
So that’s all for today, boys and girls… it’s raining outside, and that tends to make me feel like a zombie. I can’t think of anything clever, controversial, or mind blowing. I’ll just leave you with one of Martin Luther’s greatest and most famous quotes. And, as far as I’m concerned, one of the greatest quotes by man EVER. This was his answer when asked to retract his writings, which were against the Catholic church, which sparked Protestantism and caused him to become an outlaw.
Unless I am convinced by proofs from Scriptures or by plain and clear reasons and arguments, I cannot and will not recant anything, for to go against conscience is neither right nor safe. Here I stand, I can do no other, so help me God. Amen.

That first picture is hilarious. The juxtaposition of Brock’s excitement to Drew’s mild amusement…awesome. It’s almost like Brock just found out he gets to spend an entire day at Disney World WITH NO LINES, and Drew found out he has to carry Brock on his shoulders the whole time.
I almost want to save that picture to my computer.
