When Riley got home from school on Monday, I noticed a sticker on his backpack that said “I Voted”. I thought that was pretty cool, so I asked him about it. He told me he voted for Barack Obama. I just smiled and said “Oh, really? Why him?” The answer wasn’t a surprise. “I don’t know”.

On Tuesday afternoon, within minutes of getting home from school, Riley told me he wanted to change his vote. “Well, you can’t do that… but why do you want to?” He then proceeded to tell me that one of the boys in his class told him that Barack Obama kills babies.

Let me just say that it is one of the most gut-wrenching things in the world to have to explain abortion to a 6 year old child. Especially one who is as curious, intelligent, caring, and empathetic as my son is. The look of anguish on his face as he asked more and more questions, and the realization sunk in, was just too much. I tried to keep my explanation as “kid-friendly” as I could, (wow, what any oxymoron… “kid-friendly” abortion), but I had to be honest, too. I just couldn’t stand the sadness on his face for those unborn babies (I didn’t go into Live Birth Abortions, of course), and I didn’t have the heart to change the obvious impression he had that this has maybe only happened a handful of times.

Ever since I had Riley I have been against abortion, and now my faith solidifies that, of course. But seeing a child (someone so innocent and unworldly) grieving for another child he’s never met, just reminds me of how evil and selfish we all are, that this idea doesn’t even phase most of us anymore.

What a different world we would live in if we could all see more things like children do.

I’ve been despairing lately about the future of the election, our country, our culture, and our freedom. I am just having a really hard time understanding why anyone would vote for Obama. With all of the information available about his socialist agenda, racism, inexperience, shady (at best) friends and mentors, lies, self-contradiction, unethical campaign practices, and numerous other reasons not to vote for this man, why would any thinking, reasoning, rational human being not be able to see through the hype? Then I ran across a very interesting study that suggests there may be a very good reason that the hype is all he really needs. This is very long, but it gets really interesting around page 25, so skim through to that part. After that, it will have your attention.

Obama Hidden Techniques

I don’t want to come across as crazy… I really have been doing my homework on this man, and have discovered and thought through a whole lot more than I’ve bothered to post. I don’t want people to think I’ve just jumped from “no valid birth certificate” to “mind control” instantly, and done so just because I saw some wacko on YouTube spouting off on some conspiracy theory, or something.

Just think about it. Why would you vote for Obama? What, specifically, has this man done to prove himself? What has he promised? What is he going to change, exactly? Why do you like this man so much that you are willing to put the country in danger, even after his own VP candidate admitted that “the world will test him” due to his inexperience? What is so great about him that makes none of the things listed in my first paragraph matter? Pretend I’ve never heard a word about this man before, and convince me.

I’m sure that not everyone who reads my blog is going to vote for McCain, so please, just tell me why. I’ll be totally honest… I’m more anti-Obama than I am pro-McCain, but McCain supports values that I believe in, and he’s much more honest, ethical, and experienced.

I think it’s really a shame that Barack Obama’s grandmother is ill, and he has to miss valuable campaign time for a few days to fly to Hawaii. Especially at such a critical time… with the election being less than two weeks away. And especially since many believe that, during the 2000 U.S. Congressional race between Obama and Bobby Rush, missing campaign time to go to Hawaii to visit another ill family member is what cost him the election. It is known to many as “one of his biggest political missteps” and, at the time, his commitment was called into question. The timing is a little bit strange though, since she was released from the hospital last week.

The timing might not seem so strange, though, if you also know that yesterday the Hawaii Supreme Court was asked to issue an emergency writ to release Obama’s birth certificate and other related files that Obama has refused to release to the public, besides a scanned image on his website.

I wonder if he might just “find” his original copy while he’s visiting her.

I’m just sayin’…

Seriously, though… since she is ill, I wish her the best.

Am I the only person out there who didn’t know about all of the alleged criminal activities of Barack Obama, or has it just been covered up well enough in our day-to-day life that you really have to go looking to find it? I sat here last night, for what ended up being hours, reading article after article, jumping around to news reports on YouTube, and figuring out just who this man is that could possibly be our next president. I really pray that doesn’t happen, and the thought of it is frightening. I want to keep this short, and there are just too many things to bring up in one post, so I encourage everyone to do their own investigating, but some of you may be surprised at what you’ll find. I know I was. Some of you, maybe not… like I said, I may have just been under a rock when I missed all of this. Each one could be a separate blog post, but you don’t really need to hear my opinions on these things to convince you that each one could be reason enough to not vote for him. Here are just a few of the things I found:

Obama is being sued by an attorney who maintains that his birth certificate is a forgery, based on reports by three forensic experts, and he is not qualified to run for president. This came after he was asked to produce a copy of his birth certificate, but instead posted a copy on his website. It is reported that he was possibly born in Kenya, and the posted document is either a flat-out fake, or was applied for after his birth. It’s not even an official “Birth Certificate”, but a “Registry of Birth”. In two separate interviews, his sister gives the names of two different hospitals in Hawaii where he was supposed to have been born. Even if this claim is untrue, based upon his mother’s age at the time of his birth, and the U.S. citizenship laws at the time, he would not have been a U.S. citizen. Not until he was at least 19. But he moved to Indonesia, and became a citizen there. They do not allow dual citizenship there, so even if he had been a U.S. citizen before the move, he would have lost his citizenship then. So, unless he was naturalized when he moved back to the U.S., he is not a citizen. It should be noted that the attorney he hired to represent him in this case has represented the Council on American Islamic Relations, and has asked for an Order of Protection for this information not to be released until they can try to get the case dismissed. Snopes says the birth certificate claims are false, but they don’t even come close to providing enough information about why they believe that. Why the silence?

His wife, Michelle, wrote a thesis while attending Princeton that was very racist, and that document has now been declared “Restricted until November 5, 2008″. What a coincidence on the timing. She is also being accused of having been recorded using the term “whitey” (in reference to the entire white race) in a conversation with Mrs. Louis Farrakhan, although the tape has not been released yet.

Louis Farrakhan calls Obama “The Messiah” and hails him as a great man. Do you know who else he called a great man? Adolf Hitler.

In Missouri, Governor Matt Blunt released an official statement blasting Obama for using police scare tactics, including threats of prosecution and criminal punishment, to silence political opposition.

He supports partial birth abortion, a ban on guns and altering some gun laws- including your right to claim self defense if you shoot someone in your home, instituting “hate speech” laws that could affect your right to speak your opinion about pretty much anything, he has been caught lying in debates, lying about his family…

It’s all out there, just look for yourself.

So, I’m done. And maybe I’m wrong about these things… I really hope that I am, actually. I would love to find out that my internet is broken, and the sites and news videos I’ve seen were really all about other people. Because if he gets elected and these things are true, I’m going to sit my butt out on the back porch and just wait for Jesus to come back.
